Resumo
Objectives: to describe the distribution and geographical movements of medical graduates from a public institution in the Federal District. Method: Cross-sectional study that described the registration of graduates in the 27 Federative Units. A search was carried out in the databases of the Federal Council of Medicine and the Lattes Platform. Result: Registration of graduates in all Brazilian states, except Sergipe. The Midwest (85.80%) and Southeast (13.81%) regions stand out with the highest number of registrations, followed by the other regions. The Federal District (DF), Goiás (GO), and São Paulo (SP) concentrate most individuals, with 75%, 24%, and 10%, respectively. Conclusion: Graduates remain in constant movement, although they are mainly concentrated in the DF and GO. This profile reflects the current scenario of privatization of medical education and its consequent contribution of professionals to the labor market.
