Cuidados Paliativos na Atenção Básica: ações desenvolvidas pelos profissionais das equipes de saúde da família

Objective: To identify the actions developed by Primary Care professionals in the care of patients in Palliative Care. Method: Descriptive and exploratory study, carried out in two basic health units in Samambaia, Federal District. Data collection was carried out through interviews with professionals from the Family Health Strategy teams, text processing was supported by the Iramuteq software, and the interpretive analysis took place under the hermeneutic-dialectic approach. Results: Primary Care professionals had their actions characterized into two groups: actions mediated by light care technologies and actions mediated by soft-hard care technologies. Conclusion: There is a need to establish continuous and systematic training processes for Primary Care professionals to implement proper assistance to patients in Palliative Care.
